RIC Tsukuba collaborates with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), which acts as RIC Manila in RA V, via Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) technical cooperation projects. From 28th to 30th November 2022, seven representatives from PAGASA visited WMO/RIC Tsukuba for technical exchanges, with RIC Tsukuba providing advice on meteorological instrument calibration and AWS maintenance.
PAGASA's standard barometer, which had been calibrated by RIC Tsukuba in 2015 and 2019, was also recalibrated by RIC Tsukuba to support PAGASA traceability efforts.
